so which size seems to fit YOU best?

you have tried a few out haven't you.

and inner leg means bugger all as it is not relative to much else on the body.

I'm 6ft, 33" inseam, and I ride an L... I could probably just about get away with an M. I'd be pretty confident that you need an M, but as Nick says you need to sit on one to confirm.

True that. My sister used to go out with a thalidomide guy (no, seriously). He had tiny legs, but the rest of him was normally proportioned.

...So how did he go about his bike sizing? :?

he actually rode a bicycle with his prosthetic legs.
He took them off for five a side football though, and he was a demon at that!

I'm a little over 6' with 32" leg, went for an 09 X3 XL frame and reduced the stem by 30mm to 90mm, which effectively shortened the top tube and sorted the bike by improving control without wondering on the climbs, I still have quite a lot of seat post on display too. 120mm forks tooWorks for me!

Good for him! The dude obviously has a do-it-all-fark-off-attitude....I admire that!

The thalidomide guy you mean? Oh hell yeah, he was a proper go-getter. Apparently he was told by a teacher at school that he may as well not bother because "nobody will employ a freak".
He seemed to take it to heart and made the most of his life.

Yep, good on him! Good on your sis too, gotta take a bit of depth and spirit on her part also. His teacher sounds a total f-wit! What kinda impact did he think that would have? Hope he gets busted for tinkering with underage delinquents...
