Sitting in the dentist's waiting room this morning I started thumbing through a golf magazine. As a non-golfer I was amazed at the sheer quantity and price of kit available, and the endless discussion on the finer points of the advantages of having a specific pair of gloves, for example. "For goodness sake", I thought, "surely all you need is a reasonably decent set of clubs and a few balls".

Ah! :lol:

    I'd be the same and yet wonder why other pals were surprised at the cost of x, y or z in the cycling world!
