  • Very nice.

Came very close to buying the AM version of this bike myself. Great bikes, great specs, even better prices.

    Got a spec list?

    Very nice

Am looking at Canyon a lot at the moment as i want a 4" full sus.

Currently deciding whether to go for the nerve mr or find some extra cash and go for the carbon lux mr. Ah decisions, decisions.....
See, because of me now they have a warning
  • Thats very nice that, i like it a lot :D

Been looking at this and also the Nerve AM6 on the Canyon website recently, thinking of getting my first full susser soon and these look unbeatable. Good to see pics as not too many on the net just now, it looks as good in the flesh as on the website. Wicked stealthy looks too

Update again when you have been out on it, would be very interested to hear how it rides, sure it will be ace

OK I've been out for about an hours ride today on a very gentle ex-train line track, :o just to get use to the bike and check the set up which still needs adjusting, but not by very much maybe a little more air in the shocks and perhaps rotating the bars round a little more.

I have to say it felt great and gave me loads more confidence to try things I would never have tried on my old hard tail :smirk: (some small drop offs and steeper descents) and it did them without any fuss what so ever but put a big smile on my face :grin:

I even got some dirt on it (though not a great deal)

the medium is just about right for me but then I've always been Mr average size  best advice I can give is to get someone to help you with measurements and use the size calculator, I'd hate to say go for one or the other and for it then to be wrong

if your still not sure phone Canyon they were really helpful on the phone

It looks really nice and great for the price. I've got a feeling that canyon are going to be like Cube were, get quite big over here.

i promised myself i wouldn't do this simply because I DO NOT need to whatsoever, but I've currently produced a little cycle gap in between my hardtail and DH race bike.......I have told myself all the way through the Shocker build that I don't need to fill it

but, i've just had a look at the price of that bike and it's insane!

Lovely looking bike, amazing spec for the price.......any long(ish) term reviews available yet from anyone?

In fact before I get reviews, I should probably wait until the current breaks heal so I can ride the bloody thing!

Lovely bike mate, great purchase by the looks of things. I reckon Canyon's XC/AM range is going to cause the same sort of stir that the Pitch/Pitch Pro did when it first came out.

I've literally just got back from a loop round a local hill called Bossley cloud roughly 50/50 road and off road, the anti-squat-kinematics work absolutely brilliantly didn't have to touch the shock once (no pro-pedal needed)zero bob on the climbs whether on road or off road I had the front forks locked out and was stood up no movement, at one point I swapped bikes with my brother-in-law and he got a Commencal Meta 5.5 pro and they were like chalk and cheese with the front fork locked and pro-pedal off his bike bobbed like a clowns bike :P and it was the first thing he commented on baring in mind that he is a good 3 stone heavier than me (still kicked my arse on the climbs, I really need to get out more  )

This bike is way beyond my current capabilities off road it felt smooth and when it lands of the small jumps it just squats a little and goes as if nothing had happened in comparison to my old Giant XTC it's like comparing a robin reliant to a Bentley (not that the Giant was a bad bike) all in all I very happy :D:D

Oh yeah I thought you'd all like to know that I have now Christened the bike thanks to my SPD's and a very steep off road section

  • nice bike, when you ordered did you order online or give them a call and if so do they have a UK centre now or have to call the fatherland?

I ordered it online but made the wrong choice for the payment method so ended up emailing them and then phoning them both of which were to the UK service centre spoke to a guy called Cullen who was very helpfull they also responded to emails within a couple of hours

It really was quite painless a bit like ordering a CD or book sort out the size and spec you want and a few days later up turns a huge black box with everything youu neeed to assemble your new bike (except the pedals which in my case were order froma UK company & turned up late).

OK so you can't try out the bike for size but so long as you measure yourself properly you shouldn't have any problems (took me and my brother about 30 minutes trying to figure out exactly what measurements they wanted  ) I say it's best to get someone to help with this, doing it on my own I would have ordered a small which wouldn't have been right, they do also have 30 day return policy if you do feel like the size is wrong though.
