from trainer to shoes+cleats+pedals

ive been useing trainers on my bike, ive bought a new bike and want to go with shoes+cleats+pedals, ideally a mountain bike shoe that looks like a road shoe, anyway if i bought them all sepertatley how do i know which is compatable, i need a black pair of shoes + cleats and pedals to match, can anyone be so kind as to add some ebay links to give me an idea.

    Go to your LBS to get fitted with shoes. I followed the same setup using Shimano SPD 520 pedals and Specialised MTB shoes. In my case they looked like trainers rather than road shoes - Tahoe model I think.

    Once you know which make of shoe fits then you should be able to replace them by buying from the web but most folks would strongly recommend your first purchase is LBS.
  • Definitely agree that the LBS is the place to start in order to get the right fit firtst time around.
