Hi i am currently looking for my first set of lights for my road bike, front and rear of my bike.

I am looking for both front and rear lights which are light, bright, long battery life (hopefully using aa batteries) and well made and hopefully not too expensive

Also would i need just 1 front light and just 1 rear light or 2 for the front and 2 for the rear?

Thank you for your time

    I'm currently impressed with:
Front: Smart Lunar 35 runs off aa batteries and is really very bright and isn't bulky
    Back: blackburn mars 3

quite like my knog skink rear, not as bright as the blackburn but still pretty good and easier to swap from one bike to another

not currently impressed with my knog boomer (front) and cateye hl-el2200 (front) both of which only turn on or off when the mood takes them

i use a Hope vision 1 led up front which i also use on my mtb, very easy to change over. on the rear i use a Cateye TL-610 very bright and looks good even when switched off imo due to the clear lens instead of the usual red plastic 8)
