Advice for 2x10 set-up

I'm looking at changing to a 2x10 set-up and due to currently having Dual control shifters would probably get new brakes as well. I've been trying to get my head round the inter-compatibility of all the parts I would need and think I've got it. I just wondered if anyone has done their own set-up and if so did you go for SRAM, Shimano or a mix of both and what issues (if any) did you have along the way.

I've had a look there and got my head round the compatibility issues, mainly I'm after what specific set-ups people have gone for and how they have found them to be. ie sprocket range, chainring sizes and also which manufacturer. I've heard rumours about Shimano bringing out an XT double towards the end of this year and wondered if it might be worth waiting for to make things easier.0
