Which Shoes?

I've ordered by new bike and it should be with me by the weekend but I'm after some clipless pedals and shoes to go with it.
I'm getting a set of these thrown in with the bike:

And was wondering if anyone could recommend me some clipless shoes to go with them. I'm not looking to spend a fortune on them, hopefully I can get something in the £50-£60 range. I've never used clipless on my mountain bike, I've always just stuck with flats but I'm considering switching to SPD's.
Would there be any point in buying a pair of MTB shoes to use on the road?
Any suggestions?

You'll not be able to use SPDs with those! There's a major difference between SPD and SPD-SL. The latter won't fit on a regular pair of MTB shoes -- you'll have to get road-specific ones. The other option would be to fit some SPD pedals to both bikes (M520s or M540s are farily cheap) and get a single pair of shoes.
As for brands, best bet would be to try out a selection at your LBS. There's quite a variation in sizes/widths. I swear by my Specialized ones, but others find them too wide or narrow.0 -

Go to the LBS and try shoes on for fit. You have to be comfortable in them, and yeah - you need road shoes for those pedals.

forget brand names of shoes and go with the most comfortable, fairly snug fitting ones you can afford.0
