Accident Today

I was hit today by a pedestrian on a pelican crossing. (Or was it a pelican on a pedestrian crossing?)

He walked out from the right hand side of the road when red man was showing without any observations whatsoever. I shouted a warning at the person - no reaction and he walked into the rear wheel of my bike.

He never stopped even after this.

He was wearing a hooded top, and I suspect had headphones on.

Makes my blood boil these pedestrians:

1. They shouldn't be on the road as they don't pay road tax
2. He wasn't wearing a helmet
3. He probably wasn't insured
4. He didn't have number plates and wasn't licenced, so its not possible to trace him
5. He should be forced to stick only to the pedestrian lanes
6. He never had hi visibility clothing on

Tell me about it! plenty of these on my commute - some have the tenacity to cross the carriageway!

They're really becoming a menace and I'm not worried for myself but more for children and OAP's how long will it be before someone is knocked down and seriously hurt by one? And like you say they have no tags so can't be traced.

If I see any more on the road I'll make a concerted effort to make them feel unwelcome, I might even shout at a few on the pavement aswell - make sure they know what's what.

An Airzound and helmet cam would have prevented this. I blame Wiggle.

You should save up the Haribo and throw them at peds who aren't paying attention. Don't blame wiggle just because you're a greedy pig and scoffed the lot :D

If I may add my own humble suggestion:
An Airzound and helmet cam would have prevented this. I blame Wiggle. You should have D-locked the kant
Fixed gear for wet weather / hairy roadie for posing in the sun.

    What would Thora Hurd do?

I like the idea of a haribo dispensing airzound... You can get rid of drafters by firing the lil bears backwards and off to one side or in front of other cars :D

Wiggle have never sent me Haribo. I blame Wiggle for this.

I was playing Mario Kart 64 over the weekend.
Red Shells, Green Shells, Banana Skins etc.

I would love them all on my commuter bike.

This is obviously a wind up,
    2. He wasn't wearing a helmet

He couldn't possibly have been involved in an accident if he wasn't wearing a helmet, not wearing a helmet gives you statistical immunity from harm of any sort.

Helmets on the otherhand attract shark attacks - magnetically, encourage mopeds to sideswipe you and provoke magpies to swoop down and steal your bling.

I thought shark attacks were caused by being wet.

No: shark attacks are caused by sharks.

No shark attack in history has occurred without a shark being present.

Isn't it a bit harsh taxing sharks? I mean, most of them are unemployed (bloody Tories' fault).
