because lets face it, despite there being 3 sub forums of commuting, this is the one where everything gets asked cycling related, so anything else is still OT. Although from the title of nearly all OT threads its pretty obvious its OT

Because they want advice or to discuss stuff that isn't cycling related. And the wide variety of skills and opinions on here allow them to do that.

    Hi,
OT is superfluous- the "topic" is anything you want, whether cycling related or not... so it's all topical.

I thought it meant overly tenderised but there was never any views on sore backsides from too much cycling and when there was talk of chamois cream it didn't have OT - I was confused - what does it mean... (to you)

ps - for those whose sense of humour is lacking of late (yes I'm looking at you), this is meant to be a joke and thus asking for comedy references of what OT could mean. On or off topic... oh wait, it means tha...

"OT" actually belongs in a response within a thread, where the discussion veers off topic.

A thread with an OT prefix is doomed to discuss anything except the originator's point of discussion.

Maybe... just maybe OT means On Topic. Not Off Topic and you're all wrong.

Maybe it's OT as in Occupational Therapy, just a slight remove from the remedial therapy that seems prevelant on here. Probably.

Mature cheddar would be my everyday goto cheese but I do like a bit of Roquefort.

Actually, choosing the cheeseboard in restaurants when in france can be a delight. Fantastic local cheeses you've never heard of and will never remember the name of... *drool*

I like cheese. Once tried a lovely cheddar with whisky in it. Made in Welsh Wales as I recall. Memory possibly affected by the whisky content.
  • I was going to point out that this was more of a meta-thread than an OT one but then cheese came along.

We're sometimes a bit OTT with going OT. OTOH, it does make for an entertaining forum.

I recently indulged in some exquisite aged gouda. Not the rubbery crap you get in Tesco's, but a subtle, nutty cheese - perfect for crackers, perhaps with an onion chutney of some sort.

Seriously Strong Cheddar (my favourite of the mass-market stuff because of its lovely crunchy texture) is currently 2-4-1 at Tesco's.

    Fcuk I love cheese.
