Link between Lee quarry and Cragg quarry
Hi guys,
Can anyone give me information on the location of the link road start at lee quarry to cragg quarry?, last time I went up, there were no markings and the weather was rough so couldn't have a scout around.

Loads of more detailed threads and descriptions on here, but basically it's at the back of the quarry, opposite side from where you enter after the steep climb from car park. There's a bit of a climb with a little steep, flat rock section then bear left. Quite obvious...0

Doing the whole thing on Saturday, if you see a black heckler in a ditch with its head backwards be sure to give it a wave.Advocate of disc brakes.0

'm there saturday! I'll be the one falling off the top of the quarry half asleep after a night shift0

Was going to ride Gisburn Friday, Lee + Cragg Saturday and Llandegla sunday but cut the top of my finger off last night and broke the bone servicing my bike so will be out of action for at least a month :-(What if your dreams and fears existed in the same place? What if to get to heaven, you had to brave hell? What if everything you've ever wanted cost you everything you've ever achieved? Would you still go there?0

Martin you big gay! I though i was clumsy. Hope you recover soon mate.0

If it was one of the small fingers i'd probably still get a ride in but it's my middle finger so i'm pretty much screwed They reckon it'll be 6 weeks out of the saddle but i'm hopefull for 4 weeks. It wasn't my fault it's all because Avid Juicy 3's are nothing but trouble  hand slipped whilst the wheel was spinning and got it caught between the rotor and caliper it acted just like a guiloteen. What if your dreams and fears existed in the same place? Ow!
Been up Lee and Cragg today, the link still doesn't connect fully to Lee Quarry, so as has been said, after the climb up a big sandstone slab, turn left between 2 large square rocks and you'll pick it up quick enough! When you get to the top of the link track, you need to turn right and then keep on the main track for about 1/2 mile. It really isn't signed very well!
Coming back down is an absolute blast though!0 -

It isn't sign posted full stop lol
Your right it's a blast coming back down i'd go as far as saying the ride back was better than Cragg itselfWhat if your dreams and fears existed in the same place? the link is not supposed to go all the way to cragg, it joins rooley moor road then goes to cragg. quite like gragg :P0 -
cragg quarries mint especially now its been extended to 4 mileskeep smiling no matter how much it hurts, commencal ramones 1 loving it lol0

Rode them both on Saturday and was impressed with cragg quarry, I think its better than lee quarry as it isn't as harsh with the flat rock slabs and it flows better.
The link could do with a signpost but its pretty easy to pick up and a sneaky sign to cragg at the junction with rooley moor road wouldn't go amiss.
Ride back down is ok and almost all the rock jumps are doable, some are a bit steep on the face though.
Damage was one snakebite on said rock jumps and my mate decided to throw himself off the side of the black section of lee quarry. It looked worse than it was though.Advocate of disc brakes.0
