just wondering.. i recently went riding an cross treaded my dmr v8 pedal be for i went out on the right hand side crank arm of my truvativ iso flow 12 spline chainset/cranks the pedal was fine but the crank arm was smoothed out fully so much so that the pedal would slide in an out easily oops!! so then i went online an bought a shimano alivio octalink chainset and shimano nexave bbc900 octalink bottom bracket plus tool i needed for removing the old truvativ cranks. will this work its on a specilized hardrock sport a few years old now 05.im a bit confused on if you can just switch bb`s like that or not is it just one size on mtb`s ive looked online cant seem to find that much im a keen diyer apart from making this mess in the first place but you learn from your mistakes i guess any way if you can shine a light on this lonely matter please do many thanks

if you have the correct length axle on the BB then yes it will work.

crank part number? and what axle length have you got?
