Sticky poploc?

I've picked up a bike with a Rockshox Tora which has a poploc remote.

The poploc does work, but needs some 'help' to over come friction and disengage. The friction feels like it's just under the disc that rotates on the top of the right fork leg.

I've tried spraying some GT85 just under moving top disc on the right fork leg and wiggling. It got a bit better for a few minutes but is now back to its old tricks!

Any experience of loosening these things up?

I've looked in the Rockshox service manual but there's no obvious instructions for stripping the poploc down.

Cheers,

Dave

take the dial off and clean it them.

Spraying stuff at bits rarely does much.

Have you taken the dial off before?

There's a circlip which is obviously the way in, but given that the service manual doesn't talk about it and I haven't found much from googling, I'm worried it might be the kind of thing that will explode into 30 parts I can't get back together again! :-)
