Creaking BB - 2011 Anthem X1

Hi there, had an Anthem X1 since December, only done maybe 200 miles on it. This weekend its creaking on every turn - drove me mad on 25 mile ride.
What is the likely cause? Do I need special tools to remove and refit ?
