Can annyone recommend a decent courier to transport bicycles? The only information national firms are able to give re physical protection etc is that the cycles will be loaded into a van and held in a distribution cage before being put into a van and delivered on to the end destination! Not exactly confidence inspiring.

Thanks.

I can't imagine you would get a much better response than that. I would say the protection is more your responsibility, pack it well. I've shipped various bikes, never had a problem with standard couriers. Pack it well, brace the forks and rear triangle, some bubble wrap here and there, job done.

You say bicycleS, are you shipping loads? Is it just one...if it is just ride it to London.
