What would you like to see from cycling bodies?

was just doing a bit of research into cycling growing as a mass-participation recreational sport.
From a family / kids perspective, what would you like to see more of from the various cycling bodies, local authorities etc?
Are you happy with weekend recreational rides off your own back or do you think there should be more stuff like Sky Rides and Go-Ride Racing?
Do you intend to 'get more serious' about cycling?
How could your cycling life be made easier and more enjoyable?

How about for the media and government to stop scaring parents sh*tless about health and safety so that they will just let their kids "go out for a ride" like we used to be able to.You only need two tools: WD40 and Duck Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the tape.0
