Just been out on my bike at lunch to take the dog for a run.

While i was out my peddle felt a bit funny. Checked it when i got home and the thread is buggered in the arm. Its to bad to repair.

Ive never had one apart before - Can i just buy a new arm or will i have to buy the whole set up with the gears etc ?

maybe. it depends on the cranks and which arm it is.

it may be fixable go to a good bike shop and ask them about thread savers.
