Chain clanking...

I have just cleaned my bike top to bottom, lubed the chain etc etc i took the wheels off to clean individually now that i have done this and put them back on the back wheel is clanking as i move the crank around. The sound i can only describe as a train going over train tracks... upon looking at it while pedalling it looks as though it isnt straight at one point....as if the chain isnt in the right place and its clanking when it gets to a certain spot.

What have i done? how can i rectify this?

Cheers

  • From what i can see everything is in the spot it was before i took the wheel off, i have taken the wheel off and put it back on many times and its the first time i have encountered this problem.
