Just switched from rapid-fire to SRAM x5 shifters and I'm really struggling with the thumb shifting downwards, is there a SRAM shifter that allows finger shifting? 9sp shifters.

No.
Either get used to it or sell the lot and buy shimano.0 -
No, relearn.
FWIW, I couldn't get on with SRAM shifters at first, used them for a couple of seasons, now gone back to Shimano and still shift with my thumb all the time.0 -

Did you fit new cables as well when fitting the X5's
Only the very low end Sram stuff has finger style shifting (Sram SX) IIRC0 -
I changed from my 15 year old cannondale m900 to a whyte 901 and the SRAM was spec,
I keep trying to finger downshift and then remember and then end up pushing the hostler lever!
I also now have lock out on my shocks and managed to do a loop of carron valley with the lock out on!
I will just need to be a case of relearning!0
