Just switched from rapid-fire to SRAM x5 shifters and I'm really struggling with the thumb shifting downwards, is there a SRAM shifter that allows finger shifting? 9sp shifters.

    No.

Either get used to it or sell the lot and buy shimano.

    No, relearn.

FWIW, I couldn't get on with SRAM shifters at first, used them for a couple of seasons, now gone back to Shimano and still shift with my thumb all the time.

In what way are you struggling?

Did you fit new cables as well when fitting the X5's

Only the very low end Sram stuff has finger style shifting (Sram SX) IIRC

I changed from my 15 year old cannondale m900 to a whyte 901 and the SRAM was spec,
I keep trying to finger downshift and then remember and then end up pushing the hostler lever!
I also now have lock out on my shocks and managed to do a loop of carron valley with the lock out on!
I will just need to be a case of relearning!
