Having searched high and low for a good deal on the garmin edge 800, i came across www.emporiolive.com , so 1 week and 4 days ago i purchased the edge 800 with performance pack, with the mandatory 24/48 deliver service, and to say it hasn't arrived yet is annoying, the problem is i cant contact them to ask whats going on, the phone is never answered they haven't responded to any of my emails yet they have taken my money, they have had good reviews on the net, any advice would be greatly appreciated. :(

but as they are not listed on either Garmin Cypress or Garmin Portugal or even Garmin.com as a dealer/seller....

    are they really apple retailers?

Terra trip dont list them as a reseller.....

I think I have heard of a similar Portugal/Cypress web shop that was doing deals that were to good to be true...

I like the' review on the home page from a guy in Dublin

I had a very professional technical advice which made me decide to buy in this shop! And it was worth it!»

    I have also bought a Garmin 800.

I thought about one and threw my money out of the car window, whilst driving along.

I hope it turns up soon.

Keep attempting contact, give it 28 days then do a charge back on the credit card.

Even better for you if you've used paypal. If you've used a debit card then it might be more of a problem although a bank can still do a chargeback on a debit card.

EmporioLive.com is probably one of the worst online shop I ever dealt with. They showed during my relationships with them such a lack of professionalism, such a dishonnesty, that they would probably deserve to be sued.

I ordered a Nokia smartphone on their website on the 05/12/2011. One or two weeks later I receive the parcel. I open the box, and first surprise : the phone has clearly been used ! There are quite visible scratches on the screen, and the plastic containers containing the phone and the battery look shabby. But the best part is still to come : I turn on the phone, connect the charger, plug it into a socket, and ... nothing ... No animated battery logo or anything else to show that the phone is being charged.
After a few minutes and tests (especially trying the charger of my old Nokia on the "new" one), I must face the truth: the delivered charger is not working.

I rush to the online support, and given the more than mediocre outcome of the delivery, I refuse to risk another one and ask for a refund. Reply: since I am sending an item back, they will have to retain cancellation fees of 15% !... I fire back, noting that it is not a cancellation but a return due to a faulty item. New answer from the support: they will have to retain cancellation fees. Getting really angry at that point, I threaten them to largely advertise their business practices. They start sounding a lot more unctuous (it should have made me careful), and tell me that, "since the item was faulty" (oh really...), no fee will be deducted.

So I send back the phone to the address they give me. The date is 04/01/2012. Then begin a long waiting. Notices in the parcel follow-up report an incomplete address, then probably after finding the missing bits, that the delivery could not be done, for "absence of the addressee or case of force majeure". I get back to the emporiolive support: still unctuous, they tell me that they have not seen anything yet, but that I should not worry, the parcel will eventually arrive... It is mid February by then.
A few days later I notice that the support website goes offline. Hence I lose everything in my ticket.

Finally, on the 06/03 the parcel containing the phone arrives... at my address: return to sender, without any visible reason. I first try to contact emporolive again (after tracking down their new support system, which of course holds no trace of previous tickets) to ask them if they know what happened. After dodging the questions for a while, they end up ingenuously declaring that they are still waiting for the parcel...
I give up and try the post office. And the truth comes down: the internal files show without doubt that the addressee refused the parcel, on the 7th of february !

Conclusion: I find myself with a phone that I cant charge (except via USB, when I can get a hold on a PC), and having paid return shipping fees for nothing.
What more can I say, except this: next time you will feel like ordering anything on that website, attracted by the lower price, just think twice before dialing you credit card number.
