A "talent of the riding gods" app would be handy. But my bike doesn't have an iPhone dock, or bluetooth on it, so I'd have to get a new apple bike too.
Then the Beatles would probably sue me.

I use B.cycle. Its about a fiver so not cheap as apps go but I thinks its ace. Works really well, just chuck it in my bag and it logs the route very accurately.

I already have the riding talent of a god. Unfortunately it's Dionysus.

Pity the fool who wants to ride a mountain bike with an iPhone of ANY TYPE strapped to the bars or hanging off his backpack straps.
    Why, Larry, why?

Seriously, I own an iPhone too, but they're so damned fragile. Invest in a Garmin GPS

Sure you don't mean Silenus (Dionysus' mate and God of Beer Buddies and Drinking Companions. He's fat, bald, hairy and drunk) ;)

I use endomondo for Android but you can get it for most smartphones. It's free and I like it.

Runkeeper (Free or Pro) is very good and you can review the stats of the ride on thier website afterwards.

Mobile GPS apps are great. This morning, Endomondo recorded me as being 280feet below sea level for a signifiant portion of my journey

I use sprint GPS, maps my runs, updates to FB or any other social networking site, tells you calories burned, average speed and so on..

It also talks to you while riding telling you how many miles you roll :o)
