Rockshox Reverb Measurements

I'm considering buying a Reverb adjustable seatpost but wanted to know more about the measurements. If I order a 380mm how much seatpost is exposed on full extention. It has 4.9inches of travel but I read that something like 7.5 inches of clearance is needed. I'd be right on the limit for maximum extension as my seatpost is just at 7.5. Also how much post is left inserted ? I have a maximum clearance of 10 inches on my hardtail and am aiming to insert the reverb to the collar/quick release mechanism. (I know I won't need a quick release :) )

For reference I'm 5'10 with 29 inch inside leg and a 17 inch frame.
