Riding in Whistler

im visiting Canada next month for approx 3 months, while im there im hoping to get a bit of spare time to drive over to whistler. what id like to know is will the bike trails be open in early may? and can anyone recomend somewhere to hire a bike? im going to be taking my own full face and armour etc... im hoping to have approx 3 days riding so would need a place to crash too but that really dont need to be anything special!!
