New Bibshorts

Looking for some new bibshorts as my De marchi contour plus bibs have seen better days,
I have narrowed my search down to two, the Santini Slice or the Wiggle branded DHB Finchdean, both cost £70 so what would you recommend please?

Santini Slice is my preference. I don't get on with the DHB chammy.
You might also want to consider the Shutt VR bib short - very comfy indeed.

Assos F1 Mille. 6 years after buying mine they are still as good as the day I bought them.

I got some longer DHB's last autumn and they are good for the price, but not in the same league as Assos.

What are the Shutt shorts like for sizing and leg length? Do they use the same chamois as Assos?
Derosa is the Shutt better quality bibs than the Santini?

Shutts use a different chamois to to Assos. Thinner than the pad in my Assos, but still pretty comfortable.

Sizing wise, I would say Shutt are more like a UK fit - so large is a normal large - not an XL like Assos. The legs on the shorts are a shorter cut than my Assos Uno's.

If you like Demarchi ( I do but a couple of years ago the prices took a massive spike up wards ) then nothing better than their Contour Evos . Most sizes still available in Black here with 50% off . THey also have the contour plus like your old ones for a tenner less .

Is there much difference between the Shutt Standard bib shorts and the Pro bib shorts?

Are they worth the extra money?

There is a lot of difference between the standard and pro Shutt VR bib shorts. Particularly in quality of the lycra, chammy and leg length. British made, so sensible sizing similar to the Lusso Range - I'm a well built 6'2" and large does me fine.

Bikeit - I would say the Shutts are on a par with Santini Slice for quality, but I think the overall fit and feel of the Shutts is better - but that's just a personal opinion.

Depends on your definition of worth it here . I would never ...never pay £150 for a pair of bibs . I always scower the interweb . For a tenner difference on that sight I would say yes . The pad just seems to fit better on my rear ; dont know why could be its more contoured or the fact that it does flex more but heh like saddles thats a personal thing .
