How do i measure my seat clamp?

Im looking at buying a azonic seat clamp. But where do i measure my current one? the seat post? the width of the old one? the diameter of the old one?

    have a look in the FAQs and also on the underside of your current clamp.

  • You're right. The seat post diamater has little to do with the seat post clamp size. Different frames can have different thicknesses of material used. I'm not too sure about the industry standard for material thickness.

    What's best to do is use a vernier caliper to measure your seat tube and seat tube collar to get a good idea of which to get.

    Common seatpost clamp sizes are 28.6mm (1 1/8"), 30mm, 31.8mm (1 1/4"), and 34.9mm (1 3/8").

    Or just do it my way with a simple tape measure. Per FAQ's.
