moto crossers & sheep

I rode over at cragg quarry today, suddenly i was stuck by the realisation that moto cross riders and sheep have a annoying similarity! although there are acres of open moorland, they both have the desire to hog the road, or in this case, ride on the brand new mountain bike track!
this really annoys me, because the crossers wreck the track.
I am now mulling over in my mind, who between the two is actually brighter! the crossers or the sheep?
