been offered a GT Avalanche 3.0 Disc Hydro 2010 for £170
it has has had one of the brakes changed due to damage (he fell off)
he said it has a few minor scratches and a rattle come from inside the frame like a screw or something inside the tube (says its been like this since new)
other than that its v good condition
worth £170 ?

Good first MTB and price is good too.
It's only the lever that has been replaced and could be removed to spray black so it matches the other. The rattle might be from the a water bottle mount. If you buy it and it bothers you remove the seatpost and try and shake it out.0 -
can the lever be removed without having to have the brake bleeded and stuff
or does the whole thing have to come off and the tube disconnected
so buying that bike for £170 I wouldn't be getting robbed then ...that's good to know.0 -

got the bike today
rattle was coming from the toptube when i remove the seat and post their is only a little hole to access the top tube
haha manage to pull this sucker out of it though with a long nosed pliers
took a while and a lot of bike jiggling but i got it in the end
looks like solder to me
