Brooks Saddles .... sit much further forward than a Charge

Thoughts please,

I have bought a Brooks for use on a Cotic Soul, which will be used for communing duties as the weather warms up
I have it set on a lay back thompson seat pin. The Brooks is great for comfort - but seems to sit and inch or so further forward on the seat pin - even with the saddle moved right back. Which means the whole bikes feels too short - or else I will need to put on a longer stem

So do all brooks have the same forward sitting position or do the swift and swallow have a more racy/ stretched out / longer rails?
