Looks good. The rear mech cable looks a bit long - might catch on something when your in the trees.

Being that it's a full length outer cable, just pull it through a bit so that there's more slack at the bars.

Nice bike though. I reckon Specialized have 'still got it'.

I'd seriously reccomend changing the tyres as the stock spesh tyres have naff all grip on anything but dry hardpack, I should know as I rode them for a few months last year before realising I really ought to change them :P

    Nice ride dude!

I would agree with the comment about the tyres. The Fast Trak LK's (were stock on my Rockhopper) are the worst tyre ever! Fast rolling but naff all grip on anything other than hard packed singletrack!

If it were me, I'd lose the crud catchers and the saddle bag. Like the Persil advert, "dirt is good" :D

And as for the bell.........

Regarding the saddle bag, it's just going to bounce around like a 70 year old granny's chest on a trampoline - Stick the stuff in a camelback. ;)

Apart from that, nice steed! Welcomes! :D

Nice bike, I was looking to get myself one of those and would be interested to find out how you are getting on with yours.

    Thanks.

That saddle bag is huge! Would it carry a laptop :)?
  • Huge saddle bag and crud catchers are a no no for me, but to each his own. If you like it, keep on doing your thing!

What do you want out of the bike if you were to make changes? Lighter, blingier, or something else?
  • I'm not really into the mudguards, but I find that saddlebags are pretty useful. Great for making sure you have your p*ncture kit on you, and it works as a fairly good mudguard considering that's not what it's for.

So why all the saddlebag hate?

Nice bike. Saddle bags are handy, I put my multi tool and a clean rag for wiping glasses with in mine.
