Powder Coating my frame!

Hello peeps!!!
I need recommendations on where to get my Scott MTB frame powder coated I'm based in Wakefield so around West Yorkshire would be good. I really need it stripping & rebuilding by them too as my bike mechanical skills are low after 12 years out of it & I don't wish to use my time & patience. It does want a rebuild anyway as it came from fleabay.
Also what colour? I was thinking of Candy white.

Triple S are in Bingley, nobody better IMO... They did some very nice work for me on the motorbike a few years back. They won't be able to do your strip and build though, not sure if you'll find anyone that'll do both.Uncompromising extremist0

for what you want take it to a bike shop and get them to sort it all."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Silverfish recommend Argos Cycles. Not local but nice to get a good recommendation.

I quote: "We recommend Argos cycles for re- spraying and finishing of frames. Having used them before we have always found their work to be of a very high standard."0 -

Argos and Bob Jackson, are, I think, stove enamellers. It's a much higher quality of finish to powder coat, with more creative options, but has, I believe, a less durable finish. Undoubtedly the work from both is likely to be top notch - we had an Argos bike in the 80s and it was gorgeous.
I had my 456 powder coated by a company in Cheshire, in old english white, funnily enough, finished with a sparkle lacquer. It's a RAL colour 9001, IIRC, and does look rather nice, if I say so myself. Sort of bling olde worlde... :?
They seemed to do a good job, but did leave a lot of blast debris inside the frame, in spite of supposedly bunging the holes. I did supply it with an old BB fitted and put old bolts in all the threads (derailleur hanger, all bottle bosses, rack mounts etc). It's a great option for a mountain bike.|> Save money on purchases from CycleStore, Wiggle, Merlin, Evans, Chain Reaction, Halfords and more - click here (or PM me with questions)0 -
Well fancy that.
When I read the title I didn't exect you to be anywhere near Wakey...
There's a place at Horbury Bridge called Alternative finishes that have done a couple of bikes for me; they're a pretty professional outfit and it cost me about £30 per bike.

Have a look. They were alright for me. I prefer the metallic finish that i got on my road bike rather than the matt black on my mountain bike. If you need it blasting to get the paint off they'll also give you the number of a bloke called Kevwho can do it.
Hope that helps.0 -
Oh, go to JB cycles in Ossett too; he's a good bloke if you don't know him and I'm sure he'll strip it and re-build for a reasonable price.; you'll probably need to drop off and pick up with him though, suggest arranging a time beforehand though.
Then, take it to Kev and he'll get the paint off and then take it to AF for you if you arrange it with them first. You'll have to pick it up and take back to JB's.
