been doing a bit of commuting (8 miles) on my hard tail and have been getting pins and needles in my hands when riding. Any idea what may be causing this so I can try and rectify?

I suppose my seat is quite high so I can have a good leg extension.... maybe cos of this the reach to the bars is fairly far forward and down placing weight on my wrists and palms..?

  • I would say your theory is spot on.

Raising the bars would seem the way to go.

Most likely cause is pressure on the ulnar nerve. There are several ergonomic grips about that should alleviate it. I've used ergon ones in the past with good results but thinking about trying the superstar ones this time around as I'll be getting a couple of other bits from them.
