I collected mine two weeks ago and have to say I'm utterly amazed at the handling, great bike.

Any news you can feed back regarding ownership. For the moment i'm having difficulty keeping the saddle clean - any tips?

    Cheers

Nice bike. Got a Remedy myself, and it's the best bike i've ever ridden. Trek really seem to know what they are doing. Session 8 next maybe :)

Dont bother too much, a seat should look abit grubby i always think, it shows its used rather than sat there as a pretty ornament.

Yeh, a white saddle won't stay clean for long, especially with the glorious Scottish weather and the mud found up Mabie (7 Stanes)

The bike is glorious to ride. The wife had a Hardrock sport - some pictures are on here somewhere. Great wee bike - worth blasting round on a hardtail before getting a full susser!

    Which colour-way is this ?

The Trek site only shows the 2011 EX 9 in Gloss Raw Tint which looks really drab compared to your bike.

It only comes in Gloss Raw Tint which I thought was a brushed aluminium, so I was quite surprised when I picked up the bike and it was the colour shown on the pic,

Depending on how the light catches it depends what colour it is, sometimes looks silver other times more bronze.

I demoed a EX9 at the weekend, and can confirm it's totally different in the flesh, it's brushed aluminium with a tinted lacquer over the top.

I was so impressed I ordered an EX9 yesterday.
Had a call from the LBS today to tell me it's arrived and confirm to a few small changes so they could build it up, picking it up on Thursday :D

I'm really impressed with the looks and build of the Trek Remedy 8 but I also like the Lapierre Spicy 316........I'm looking to buy a bike in the next few weeks and it boils down to the ones named above...............any of you give me some tried and tested user feedback on any of these machines?
