Sorry for posting this twice was not sure where to post it? I am finally giving up on my Campagonolo groupset. I bought a wilier izoard Centaur but the better 2010 model with fulcrum 3 etc. It was over 2400 quid and I just cannot get on with the gears. Im going to have the shop take all the bits off and put a set of Ultegra on. Might as well stick with what I know. If I was to get the shop to remove everything its the Carbon Crank Arms, the Cassette, the Carbon Ergo Shifter powerlevers, Front and rear, Derailleur, (rear does not seem to shift smoothly which is why I want to change unless its just me???) and everything else that comes with it what woudl I be able to sell it all together for? The Shop has a full ultgera set in there they do not need and Im hoping tomorrow to get them to swap it all over. if I was to get all the bits togehter what would it all be worth? Id say its done 500 miles tops. cheers all

My mortiorolo isnt the smoothest when on the turbo, but seems to be alot smoother on the road..Its done around 500 miles (about 200 on the turb) like yours but has been serviced and adjusted twice already, thats using mirage groupset though so might not as smooth as whats on yours.
New ive found deals on your groupset for 570ish, so probably about 425 to 350ish i'd guess at.
Have you thought about changing the rear mech for something like a chorus? Might smooth things out a bit.
Cheers
RichardIts Italian, its carbon.....and some lanky tool rides it.0 -
Rear mech won't make a jot of difference, it's only a slave unit and they all shift the same. Campag shifting is normally smooth enough, I'd suspect a sticky cable. A few quid on a new inner would be worth a try before splashing out serious money.0

cheers guys seems the rear Derailleur is going up ok and seems to stick going between 2nd and 3rd cogs if you pull it manually seems fine then its ok on all other gears? very strange. had new inner and outer fitted first to try that but still not a lot of difference? Your comments are instilling confidence in the campag though as i could do without the expence at the mo. why can a bike be so problematic!!! In my day job I drive a Bently GTC, Two Range Rovers, Merc SL63 AMG S65AMG, Ferrari 599 and a F430. What breaks the most? The ferraris? Maybe its something with the italian full of passion but when it comes to gettign the job done I really dont undertand it? they make stuff that looks so good but you try and use it (Or I try) and it just falls to bits? Will be off to the shop tonight they are using a spare derailur to see if that makes any difference. if not then i will change the whole lot, seems a huge expence which I could do without but getting frustrated everytime I go out theres a probelm. im trying to do 250 miles a week and at this rate it will never happen. Cheers guys0

I've always compared Campag and Shimano to their nations cars - the Japanese stuff is reliable, functional but a bit bland; whereas the Italian stuff is designed with passion and flare, but be prepared for it to cop a bit of a prima strop
For what it's worth I've been running Centaur stuff since 2008 and it's always performed faultlesslyHas the head wind picked up or the tail wind dropped off???0 -
cheers steve will give the shop one more try to get it right as your right it looks great. Love the brake Levers in carbon. cheers0

one thing it could be is the way the cable is routed into the rear mech. sorted a campag equipped bike out recently which had been fitted with new cables by a shop but the mechanic had routed the cable on the wrong side of the bolt that clamps the cable to the rear mech. was not obvious at first but as soon as i switched it i got perfect indexing. whatever the problem it sounds cable related.Viner Salviati
