Hi Guys

I ve managed to rip the sidewall on a two month old High Roller - If I put a tire boot on it will this be a permanent fix or are they temporary/get you home fixes?

Cheers

    they are temporary.

how long is a piece of string.

    how damaged is the tyre.

I managed to rip my Minion worse than what you are describing and I managed to fix it by putting two layers a gaffer tape on the inside of the tyre around the tear and I used a proper puncture repair patch on the outside with plenty of glue. Looks naff but it works.

Did that several months ago and it is still holding up fine, even taking it off the rim then re-fitting it doesn't affect it. Just make sure you use the good stuff that is reasonably thick and really sticky (if you can stick it to itself and it won't come apart then thats the stuff you want
