Liquigas and Leppard also way off the Rabo time
  • Feeling sorry for Clement at Trek-Leopard, he couldn't stay on! Surely Cancellera and co should've eased up considering it'ss the last mans time that counts?

It's 5th man over the line.

Shows how fast Canc is on a TT bike.

  • Ah right I wasn't sure if it was 5th or last. Fabian is in a league of his own on a tt bike, he is phenomanal. The moment he went on the front the pace picked up, as Clement can testify right now!

Only 17 kms, but some big time gaps

Garzelli, Visconti, J-Rod, Di Luca, Kolobnev, and Arroyo already losing close to a minute

EBH, Evans, Cancellara, and Gilbert also losing quite a bit on Gesink

Indeed, I didn't factor in such bit TT losses in my PTP GC pick!

I saw Wegmann and Tom Stamsnijder getting dropped - isn't Clement still at Rabobank?
  • That Rabobank team looks very impressive on paper (and delivered the goods today). Dissapointing by Sky

I'm sure it was Clement who was trying to hang in there on the Trek-Leopard train? The 5th man

You mean Stef Clement, the Rabobank rider? That would explain, messing up another team's chain in a TTT ;)
  • Haha, this has completely thrown me. Maybe trying to watch 2 races at the same time isn't a good idea. I switched over towards the end and was under the assumption that Clement was the 5th last Trek Leopard rider. Excuse the confusion...

Rabo have a good team for T-A - I reckon Gesink, Boom or Langeveld could go for the overall and all 3 seem to be in good shape at the mo.

Will be interesting to see if the stage time bonuses have much impact on GC (which is what I'd hoped, hence picking EBH for PTP).

Weird. Apparently this was the first ever TTT win for a Rabobank Pro team. Used to be a Dutch specialism with Raleigh and Panasonic perennial TTT winners once

    It was Dominic Klemme
