Just been looking at the rocker rider 9.1 full sus, has anyone tried or got 1? the spec looks amazing for the money but can't find much info on them unlike the 8.1 h.t.

I bought a 9.1 3 years ago when the new frame was launched. It replaced a Gary Fisher Cake 3 DLX as I felt it rode so much better.
I think the latest spec (SLX) is better value than the model I bought (X7) and plus you now get Air forks as opposed to coil Toras.
Here is a pic of the ne w2011 9.1 which will be fitting the shelves shortly.

    It is pretty annoying.
I think most of the problems come from France and they get lost in the translation stages.
We do point these out and try to get them fixed asap though.
So if anybody has them send them through to me and I'll happily pass it on.

If I remember correctly the 9.1 is the same spec as the 2010 model but I seem to recall it having Recon forks?
    This is the 9.2 for 2011 5458824255_31ece8475b.jpg
I think this is a huge improvment on previous years in terms of colour
  • Think you better get you spanners polished.its going to be bumper yr for decatlon. any idea on price?

That looks really good. And the Magura forks are a massive improvement over Recons.

It had Revelations before not Recons. Its the 9.1 which I think has Recons for 2011.
Price wise for the 9.1 I think its going to be £749 and for the 9.2 £999.Don't hold me to these but thats what we are expecting.

    Really?

Yes. Recons are OK, but Magura are leagues ahead of RS TK stuff.

If it had Revs, then there won't be much of a difference.

The guys at Wednesbury are pretty good (I went and gave them a training a couple of weeks ago)
If you have any other issues feel free to ask for Paul he's the cycles manager there.
  • I've been waiting to pick the new model up from the Nottingham store, got to say the knowledge of the guy i spoke to was 2nd to none. He used to run his own bike shop and is into biking in a big way.

He tells everyone that! Pinch of salt.

I do like Decathlon though, awesome prices for quality stuff. Bought some baggies (including liner) in the sale for £2.59!

Stock is expected in a few weeks time for some models.Sorry I don't yet have a breakdown of which models will be available and when.
I'm off work for a couple of days so I will try to compile something on Friday and post it back on here.

I have had a lot of help from the Wednesbury Decathlon store. Best thing for me is that its located near my daily work commute. A* for the staff

Have Decathlon signed up to be a partner for Cyclescheme now? I'm sure I saw them listed on the Cyclescheme website.

If so, the new full sussers will fly out of the doors for those looking at the sub £1k market.
They're looking like really nice bikes this year.
