Hi.
How do i get hope floating rotors 160mm to function on avid elixir5 calipers (currently 160mm Avid rotors). I have 183mm floating on a 185mm avid front caliper with no probs. just cant get the rear to function without rubbing the rivets ? Do i need a change to the mount or file down the lower tabs on the pads ?
All advise welcomed

they don't work.... end of really. Unless you buy wrong size adaptors and only use half the braking surface which is a bit daft really as there isn't a 162mm adaptor, you'd have to get the next available size of 180, which in fairness might even take the caliper completely above the disc0

just get a rotor that fits and works.
Hope floaters are just bling and do not improve the braking performance."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

if you have post mount, you can space the rotor out using washers, providing your bolts are long enough.
I did this for a friend - front mechanical disc brakes for 160 mm rotor but cheaop wheels had 165 mm rotors - so a difference of 2.5 mm in radius - one washer, about 2.0 mm thick did it.0
