They really didn't The film was pish but the raid was surprisingly true to the events, and pretty horrendous tbh. Obviously they Hollywoodised it a bit and names were changed. And the Doolittle raid's pretty accurate as well, though nobody was involved in both
It's a steaming jobbie of a film but not for this reason I reckon some sort of "reviewer cut", like a director's cut but taking out all the crap that only the director thought was good, would be ideal... Like Titanic and the new Star Wars films...Uncompromising extremist0 -
