Severn Hospice Big Ride 4 Sep 11

Severn Hospice Big Ride 4 Sep 11.

I've seen this advertised locally, I live in Shrewsbury, has anyone done this before? I'm thinking of the 100km route and am pretty familiar with most of the route. £25 seems like quite a hefty entrance fee, I take it thats because a fair portion will go to the charity.

If not all of it. The 50km is £12.50 to enter.

The event is organised by the bike shop in Jackfield and the fundraising team of the Hospice at Telford. I don't know Pete Bird but the ladies from the Hospice are great and the CEO is a keen cyclist. The GBBR is good fun, I've done it every year. It's a shame it's not on more people's radar.

Other events include a family ride on the old Coalport-Bridgnorth railway line (now part of NCR 45) on 27 March and the the Hospice's version of the Dunwich Dynamo on 6 August.
Aspire not to have more, but to be more.
