I see exactly where you're coming from. A mobile phone.... that is mainly just a mobile phone.
I dunno if I can do it though0 -
I'll still be like an excited chipmunk when it arrives lol.0

It's always the same with anything new and shiny though, isn't it?0

Aye, I think this is why we have too much tin foil in the kitchen0

Well it has arrived! Just need to work out how to get rid of the annoying 'apps' on the main screen (which always try an connect to the internet if I actually touch them).
Nice piece of kit, if a little chunky.0 -

Not the OP's question, but on the subject of phones...
Need a smartphone, on android 2.1, with a video camera, with 500mb data, 100 minutes, and 100 texts for £10 a month (phone free)? sound impossible? check this out- http://www.carphonewarehouse.com/mobile ... network=TM
Got this about a month ago, great little phone, on talk mobile (which uses vodafone networks) for £10 a month. awesome dealHardcore hardtail:

The camera on this thing is atrocious. The N95 was bearable, I thought this would be the same. Optics are much smaller, and it just makes everything look, well, shite.0

just sold my 2 year old iphone to mazuma for £96..
Also just ordered a Samsung Omnia 7 :D
£28 a month, 5000 text and 900 minutes. 1g of data.
Not bad considering its usually £35, and I was paying £35 a month for less with O2 on the iPhone!
Could have had a desire or desire HD for less with fewer mins/txts, but I really don't like the android software0 -
I can get £55 for my old N95, bargain! Is 4 years old now lol.0

Thought i'd update this... I've got my Samsung Omnia 7 now!
Windows 7 is pretty damn good. It feels a lot nicer to use than the iPhone. I used to this that the iPhone was fairly minimalistic, but this is just another level of minimalist simplicity that just works!
Absoloute cock to setup though. Took foooking ages.
Oh and it does NOT work with mac computers. Not one little tiny bit.
Fortunately I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate on Parallels virtual machine!
The whole integration with facebook and the live tiles are really really nice. But the screen is mind blowing! Its so bright compared to the iPhone that I couldn't look at it at 1st!
Anyways, happy so far!0 -
Glad you're happy. I'll have a look tonight for the mac connector stuff for you.
There's an update which, apart from adding copy and paste, speeds up resume times for applications quite substantially, so keep an eye out for it. It popped up on mine just over a week ago.[/quote]0 -
Yeah I downloaded all the software... its a bit crap tbh. And you can't use it to update the phone.
You NEED Zune to update the software, you can do it by wifi, but only once its been linked to Zune. Which is a bit ghey!
Once set up its brilliant though!0
