That's a jump fork though, the Rainier is not a jump bike.0

the forks cope well with a lots of terrain not just jumps, it has an air spring so you can change it to suit your handling.
I bought a set for cowan, which had 9 gears so not a single DJ bike, and they outlasted the frame, mainly glen tress and inners XC trail
and unlike rockshok they dont piss oil everywhere when you turn the bike upside down, and if you dont own a set the odds on you being able to steal your front wheel is slim, cos its not that simple.0 -

Why on earth does anybody want to upgrade to a 5lb DJ fork for an XC bike? The Reba has dual air springs, adjustable compression damping, lockout, adjustable rebound and adjustable lockout blow off force, and weighs 3.6lbs.
And RS don't leak oil if you look after them.
