Hi,
Just after opinions on tights.
I'm after waist tights to wear under bib shorts - no pad required. Just want a couple of pairs for all conditions (I'm a bit of a wimp and don't go out in freezing conditions).
Looking to spend around £40.00 per pair.
Cheers,

get knee or leg warmers instead
they're fine for whenever the temperature is above zero
much cheaper, much more versatile
go for ones that are described as roubaix or thermal
bags of choice...

I know quite a few people who wear their unpadded tights under their bib shorts! Maybe I just know some strange people!
Thanks for the advice.Trying Is The First Step Towards Failure

surely waist short/longs will sag without something to hold them up ? A baggy crotch isnt a good idea.
Always Bibs for me, and try the DHB range from Wiggle. Well made and great value.0 -
I have both Pearl Izumi and Specialized waist tights and have been more than happy with them.
I always wear my tights (cycling) over my shorts otherwise the chamois isn't doing it's job correctly

I posted a similar question on here some time ago, and got the same bollocks about wearing tights under shorts from roughly the same people.
Plenty do it round these parts, pro's, amateurs whatever.
Anyway, I finished up buying some Lusso non bib roubaix ones - bib shorts over the top hold em up - no problems with my ass0 -
Pro's were doing it yesterday at Paris-Nice. Thou some looked awful, Astana for one.CAAD9

unless you saw them with their tops off, how do you know they were wearing tights under their shorts?

Thanks for all the replies.
I have ordered some leg warmers and will see how I get on with those first.
In relation to wearing tights under shorts I was beginning to think I was going mad!! Nice to know other people do it too!
