I like it because I think that extra team will add another bit of "we don't follow the patron-rules" aspect to it. The more teams we have jumping into breakaways (which a wildcard team is more likely to do) the more exciting the race will be.

Well, that'll teach me not to follow the Twisted Spoke so closely- I too had hoped that Team Type 1 might have been allowed to make their European debut in the Giro.
