I bought a new bike from Ribble, patiently waited an extra week for my LBS to service the wheels I was putting on it, the day they were ready I pulled a muscle in my side showing off up a hill on my old bike. Probably be missing today's club run.... unless I'm stupid and go out 'not right' ... hmmm, what's the worst that can happen?

No point posting to Thedrunkmonk, I bet by now he is out on his bike doing the club run.

I sometimes ask my wife for her opinion as to whether I should go out riding with a minor injury. Her response is usually "you know you are going out anyway, you're only asking because you know you shouldn't but want someone else to blame if it goes wrong".

  • Ha. You're wrong.... kind of. I went out by myself for a quieter run. Lovely bike. I ache a bit. It's all the missus' fault.
