Hi all,

Not totally new - its been ridden a few times now and has lots of parts of my old Giant frame - but here's my Yeti AS-R 7:

Spec:

Frame : 2009 Yeti AS-R Seven
Fork: 2009 Magura Wotan (160mm)
Headset: Chris King Tapered with 1 1/8th baseplate for non-tapered forks
Bars: Raceface Atlas AM
Stem: Renthal Duo (50mm)
Grips: ODI Yeti Lock-on
Brakes: Hayes Stroker Trail
Rotors: 8" front, 6" rear
Shifters: Shimano XT
Derailleurs F+R: Shimano XT
Seat Post: Thomson
Saddle: Charge Spoon
Chainset: Raceface Deus XC
Chain: Shimano XTR
Cassette: Sram something-or-other (knackered)
BB: Shimano XT
Wheelset: Mavic 819 UST rims on Hope Pro 2 hubs
Tyres: Maxxis High Roller 2.35 LUST front, Maxxis Medusa 2.1 UST rear

Bike rides amazingly well even though I've only ridden it a few times locally, and twice at the Surrey Hills.

Needs new chainrings, cassette, chain, LH shifter, etc as soon as my wallet will allow.

More photos to follow soon...

Any questions, just ask ;)

Nice, did you pick the frame up cheap off that online shop?

Close up of the new stem (haven't ridden it yet!). Thought I'd go for something other than a Thomson this time, just fancied a change! :)

  • How are you liking the magura forks? Everything on that bike looks lush! What's the weight?

Haven't weighed it yet, but it feels around 32-33 lbs. the forks work great at pretty much anything although theyre not quite as smooth on the small bumps as a set of fox floats. I love the feeling you get with them that you can just point where you want to go and they will plough straight through it! bombproof as well, but not the lightest around.
