Cannondale, Cube or GT - Need your help please.

I'm in the process of trying to purchase a new bike for my wife and myself. What do I buy ? The budget £1000 each. The bikes I have narrowed it down to are the CUBE LTD TEAM or RACE , Cannondale SL1 or GT ZASKAR COMP !!!!. My wife is a massive Cannondale fan and I am a sucker for GT's but fancy a change - tried Specialized before but found the quality to be very poor, the Cubes look to be good quality with good kit for the price. What do we do Please help. Cheers Andrew.

All the bikes you have mentioned will be good. What do you want to do on them?

I'd say try as many bikes as you can before you buy and buy the ones you like/fit best the most.

Thanks for reply - Trail riding on Dartmoor is the intended use. I ride much harder and more extreme than my wife but even then none of the bikes will be pushed to there limit. I have owned a GT avalanche 1 which is very much the same as the Zaskar and found this to be a good solid bike. I today tried a Cube LTD Race and found it to be good quality and well spec'ed. My wife has had a cannondale previous and this was superb USA quality. I'm thinking of trying the Cube but would like to know if they are any good compared to the tried and tested GT or Cannondale.
