Zinc rip-off

Last year's trip to Majorca was rather buggered by a bad cold that was doing the rounds. This year I have decided to try zinc suppliments and have checked out the prices of a couple of products. Seven Seas chewable capsules with vitamin C are a right rip off; £4 for 30 capsules, of which 4 can be taken in a day. Boots do one-a-day tablets with 60 costing just less than the Seven Seas. If my maths is any good, that works out as being 1/8th the price!
To err is human, but to make a real balls up takes a super computer.

Try superdrug too, probably be even cheaper. Or zipvit.

Branded vits are a cash cow.

Most branded and non-branded vitamins use the same 2-3 UK manufacturers using exactly the same ingrediants, with branded vitamins you're only really paying for the additional marketing.

As prawny says, you can find far better deals online, even the high-st stores like Boots and Superdrug are expensive.

I buy my supplements from a massive Sainsburys down the road and will pay between £1 and £2 for their own branded vitamins.

Citrus fruits prevent scurvy? Faddish nonsense, I'll stick to my weevilly biscuits, thank you very much.
