Boardman Comp

Well this is my first proper mountain bike purchase and went for the Boardman Comp (purchased last week after reading a few reviews on here)
Basically it stands as it was bought, with the addition of some pretty standard bike hut mud guards from halfords to see me through, bottle cage which isnt really interesting (Didnt buy the £20 boradman one!) Just put a new seat on it after riding for my first 14 miles on a flat run and having some pain due to the seat! Cant remember the make of the seat as im offshore now and fitted it before coming away and havent tested it out yet. Also fitted the free chain stay protector free with mountain bike magazine
Plans are just to keep it and maintain it, maybe some grips but im completely new to the mountain bike scene.
Heres a quick pic below, will get more detailed ones at a later date and update with any changes

Nice buy mate.
If you havent been riding for 6 years, your @rse was always going to hurt regardless of the saddle...however, it is quite a solid perch. I stuck mine on my roadie and replaced it with a SDG Bel Air.0 -
All the best for the butt pain! That'll happen often even after only a week or so of not riding at all. Happens to the best of us
Lovely bike though, well tried and tested!0 -
psssssst.....psssssssssssssst.....lose the reflectors.0

To be honest I haven't really noticed them Shall junk them when I get home
Also got a lock holder on there:oops: , isnt really visible though and will only have the lock in it if around town
Need to get the stupid yellow stickers off the rims too. Anyone reccomend a decent chain wax / lubricant? Been told something quick drying is best, and more waxy rather than oily for dirt sticking to it. And how often should it be cleaned and lubricated?Car : Seat Ibiza FR TDi (Revo Stage 1)

Chain lube is very contoversial-everyone seems to prefer something different. I use Finish Line wet lubricant. I tend to clean the chain and re lubricate it when mud starts to appear on it-usually every 2 or 3 rides.0
