why not? the slingshot design has been around for yes."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

i'd trust it. A cantilever system is the strongest design in many applications. plus they are dead comfy to ride boosts climbing too if i remember correctly0

do you get many rocks pinging up and whacking your thighs with one of these?Whenever I see an adult on a bicycle, I believe in the future of the human race.
H.G. Wells.0 -
Yes, probably had hundreds of thousands of pounds thrown at it for r & d and had to pass CE and BS to be marketed in the UK0

I saw that the other day, and didn't know what to think of it either. Just really not sure.
I'd try and see how it felt on my local XC route, but that would probably be the roughest I would take it on.0 -
ride it, if it breaks then on one would get a big shafting if it was down to design faults and not crash/abuse damage0

Where do you put the crud catcher !!Cotic Soul
Cotic BFe
Cotic Road Rat
Orange Patriot (2006 version)0 -
A mate of mine rode one for a couple years with no probs back in the '90's - we found a way of attaching a simple crud-catcher to the cable as well, IIRC...0

Nice idea but I think I'll stick with one of these:

I would trust it but its soooooooooooooo ugly.0

I would not trust it as much as a frame because it has one more mode of failure.0
-
The design has been around for the best part of 20 years and I don't recall hearing of any failures with it.0

wasn't there a bmx like that back in zee day ?
retro dodgy0 -
..even odder is that when you "zoom in" the picture ends up smaller...0
