That is going to turn out to be one nice ass build. What color frame did you end up getting?0
-
The specs looking good and it'll be a great build. The only thing I'd change is the pedals DMR V8s, really? They're competely outclassed now by Superstar Nanos. The nanos are lighter, thinner and grippier. Wellgo Mg1s are lighter still but the pedal body is softer and I think that toughness is something that this build requires.0

It's all looking very nice so far, what colour frame did you opt for?
The wheels look great and i've always been a massive fan of saint stuff.....looks stunning.
I built up a Nomad a couple of months back with spank subrosa/hope hubs and the tech 4's and im well impressed with them although I never had the balls to build my own wheels. Only wish i'd gone for the saint drivetrain aswell.
I had issues with the v8's from the off with my old bike, ended up going for the Tioga surefoot MX pro's which are excellent pedals imo.
Looking forward to seeing the finished article!0 -
Thanks for the coments, went for a White frame in the end! Wishing I had gone black now tho coz their in stock and been waiting 4 wks already for my white one!
I know what you say about v8s, will be getting sum nanos I think, just got choose which ones!?
Also don't know if to upgrade the rear hub to a 10mm axle! Worth it?0 -
Sweet, looks like a good build, i definitely agree with the points about the V8's though, they're pretty bad, as pedals go.0

So ordered sum nano thru pins in gold! Just gotta wait for the frame now!0

I hope the colours work if not a call to the anodiser!
Got to sort the forks now! As you can see it's not guna be the lightest build and I'm not the lightest rider! So is the higher weight of sum fox 36 vans worth it over the floats? Anyone got ne ideas??0 -

Just got the email, frame will b with me by thur and built by fri! Woo hoo! Just hope the wkend is nice! Not that it's guna stop me0

Personally, I'd sort out those gear outers so they match the brake lines, maybe the dropper post outer too.
Very nice bike though.0 -

Rode the butcher and really enjoyed it, Definately suits a smooth big fork up front. in fact I found it more aggressive to ride than the Nomad which suprised me as its 150 at the rear.
Good choice of machine fella.0 -
That looks really cool as the white and green are a great choice even though i was thinking a black frame would've been better when i first saw the green wheels but soon changed my mind when i saw the wheels on the frame lol .You must treat others with respect in order to be respected ..
