SLX triple m660 conversion to double

Hi i have the above crank,im wanting to take of the big ring and run 22t 32t with a bash,i will probably move up to a 36t when they become available but just want to try the double set up first.Ive brought the slx bash ring and tried fitting it last night.First problem i had where the bolts were not long enough to go through spider bah and middle ring,infact the whole bash didnt really want to sit flush as well.A quick look on the net revealed you need m665 bolts for the bash which i have now ordered im hoping these will sit everything together properly,do you guys think this will solve the problem or is the bash guard just not compatible with the m660 crank ?

the bash doesn't sit 'flush' so to speak 9ie parallel to the chainrings) but yes the longer bolts will solve your issue0
